Scope and roles
This policy applies to the Software for Driving School marketing site, account creation, dashboard, support, platform communications, and services we operate. For records a school collects through its tenant website or dashboard, the school generally determines the purpose and use and we process the records to provide the service. Each party remains responsible for obligations that apply to its role.
Tenant school websites also display a school-specific Privacy Notice identifying the school and explaining the school/platform relationship. A student, parent, or guardian seeking a school record should normally contact the school first.
Information we collect
Account and business information may include names, emails, phone numbers, school identity, addresses, staff roles, login and authentication events, plan and billing identifiers, support requests, configuration, and content entered by authorized users.
School-controlled records may include student and guardian details, age or birth-date information, enrollment answers, package selections, pickup notes, schedules, lesson history, instructor notes, permit or document status, uploaded files, waiver and signature records, portal activity, communication history, balances, and payment status.
Technical information may include IP address, browser, device and operating-system details, cookies and session identifiers, requested pages, referral information, timestamps, security and anti-spam signals, email delivery events, diagnostics, audit records, and usage needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Sources of information
We receive information directly from account holders, school staff, students, parents, guardians, website visitors, and support users; from authorized school configuration and imports; automatically from browsers and devices; and from providers such as Stripe, Postmark, Google reCAPTCHA, hosting and security services, and optional AI providers.
We do not intentionally obtain full payment-card numbers. Stripe handles payment credentials and returns transaction identifiers, status, limited payment-method details, disputes, refunds, and related records needed for billing and connected-account workflows.
How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; host school websites; process forms and enrollment; organize records, documents, waivers, schedules, portals, and payment status; send transactional messages; provide support; maintain billing; prevent abuse; investigate errors; protect the service; comply with law; and improve product reliability and usability.
Optional AI-assisted features use submitted prompts and relevant product or school context to return workflow guidance. Users control whether to invoke those features and should not submit unnecessary sensitive information. AI output is recorded or monitored only as needed for delivery, safety, support, usage limits, and service improvement consistent with provider terms.
Analytics, cookies, and anti-spam
Platform marketing pages may use Google Analytics to understand page views, referral sources, devices, and general engagement. We do not intentionally place platform marketing analytics on tenant school pages or use private dashboard content for advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies support authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and form integrity. Google reCAPTCHA may receive technical and interaction signals to detect automated abuse under Google's terms and privacy practices. Blocking required cookies or scripts may prevent login, forms, or security checks from working.
How information is shared
Information may be available to authorized school users according to tenant membership and role. We share information with service providers for hosting, storage, security, email, analytics, payments, support, monitoring, and optional AI features only as reasonably needed to provide and protect the service.
We may disclose information to professional advisors, payment networks, authorities, or other parties when required by law; to complete a requested transaction; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security events; during a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards; or to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
We do not sell student or guardian personal information. We do not use tenant private records for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16 for targeted advertising.
Minors
The platform is sold to driving schools and is not directed to children under 13. School administrators, parents, or guardians should submit information for minors. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information directly without an appropriate process, we will review and delete or restrict it as required.
A school must configure appropriate notices, consent, access, minimization, security, retention, and deletion procedures when its use is subject to children's privacy requirements. The platform cannot shift or eliminate legal duties that apply directly to either the school or the platform.
Retention
We retain account and school records while needed to provide the service and according to school instructions, account status, backup cycles, and configured workflows. We may retain limited billing, tax, security, audit, support, dispute, and legal records for legitimate business or legal purposes after other content is deleted.
Schools control many retention decisions for school records and should not collect or retain more information than needed. When an account ends, school content may be returned, exported, deleted, or de-identified as described in the Terms and Data Processing terms, subject to backups, legal holds, security evidence, and applicable law.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, authenticated access, role-based permissions, tenant-scoped data access, restricted document delivery, logging, backups, secret management, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Schools share responsibility for strong passwords, correct roles, staff offboarding, secure devices and networks, authorized exports, data minimization, appropriate form content, and prompt incident reporting.
Your rights and choices
Depending on location and applicable law, a person may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive, or restrict certain personal information, or to appeal a request decision. We verify identity and authority and may retain information where an exception or legal obligation applies.
For school-controlled records, contact the school first. For platform account, marketing, privacy, or security requests, contact support@softwarefordrivingschool.com. Marketing preferences can be changed through available unsubscribe controls; transactional account or security messages may still be sent while an account is active.
International processing and changes
The service is operated from the United States and providers may process information in the United States or other locations. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for cross-border processing.
We may update this policy to reflect service, provider, or legal changes. Material changes will be communicated as required. Contact: Software for Driving School, 8245 NW 36 Street #5, Doral, FL 33166; support@softwarefordrivingschool.com; 617-600-3678.
